Brixton Green

I have been voluntarily photographing Brixton Greens events and meetings to help them to establish a community led development in the heart of Brixton.
When finished the development will include 40% affordable homes, a chefs school, the Oval Theatre Company, a doctors surgery, a nursery, a street gym, community art space and lots of affordable work spaces for local busynesses.
Despite Brixton’s new “cool” status this central area, beyond the railway lines, is very underprivileged and really needs a proper community centre.
It has been a real pleasure to watch the project grow and know that my skills have helped make a real difference to this brilliant part of London.
